Christian Cowan continuously presents one of the liveliest shows of NYFW through his extravagant, vivacious collections! He is a consistent favorite of mine. Cowan’s FW’19 collection was a burst of electrifying neons for every occasion—from streetwear, like his signature sweatsuits with added rhinestone fringe trimmings, to bodycon mini dresses with rhinestone overlays, to show stopping evening gowns covered in tool. Sparkly beading, mesh, head caps and feathered embellishments completed the looks of Cowan’s always daringly sexy line. The bejeweled gold and silver accessories covered in chained jewelry and watches turned the heads of everyone at the show.
Another standout element from the show was the avant garde footwear. Cowan teamed up with Stuart Weitzman and Giuseppe Zanotti to bring the wristwatch detailing all the way down to the feet. I would die for a pair of these wristwatch strapped heels! Slick Woods, Aquaria, Carmen Carrera and Nikita Dragun were all front row. Halima Aden of IMG Models, activist known for her participation as the first woman to wear a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, closed the show in an eye-catching rhinestoned hijab. Bravo, Christian Cowan! You never disappoint! See the full gallery for an inside look at the show.
